January 2002 - California CCBADC reverses previous restrictions on distance learning by continuing education. There is no good reason why addiction counseling cannot be taught by distance learning!

Distance learning advocate Guy C. Lamunyon was inducted to the California Alcholism and Drug Abuse Counselor's Hall of Fame at the Annual Conference in 2002.
